McNamara Student-Athletes of the Month: Carmen Laguna & Luke McAvoy
Each month, the McNamara Academic Center for Student-Athletes (MAC) will recognize one male and one female University of Minnesota student-athlete for their academic achievements. The winners of the McNamara Student-Athlete of the Month for the month ending April 30th, 2012 are Carmen Laguna from the Women's Golf team and Luke McAvoy from the Football team.
Wilhite Presents Research As Part of McNair Scholar Program
Gopher defensive end D.L. Wilhite took part in prestigious program this summer.
University of Minnesota football player D.L. Wilhite has spent much of his summer preparing for the 2011 Golden Gopher football season. But he has also spent a considerable number of hours working on a presentation he unveiled to the public Tuesday.
